Terms & Conditions of Enrolment

RUNNER ENTRY LEVEL 1 — TWO-DAY TRAINING COURSE

Hospitality Cornerstone Pty Ltd · ABN 95 698 170 437

Version 1.0 — Effective 10 June 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your enrolment in the

Runner Entry Level 1 training programme (“the Programme”) delivered by

Hospitality Cornerstone Pty Ltd (ABN 95 698 170 437) (“Hospitality

Cornerstone”, “we”, “us”). By purchasing a place in the Programme, you

confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms.

1. What the Programme Is — and Is Not

The Programme is a 16-hour practical training course delivered over two

consecutive days (Saturday and Sunday), covering safe floor movement,

plate carrying, clearing technique and guest communication for

entry-level restaurant runners. It concludes with an individual

practical assessment on Day 2.

You acknowledge and agree that:

- The Programme is privately developed industry training. It is not

nationally accredited and does not lead to a qualification under the

Australian Qualifications Framework.

- Hospitality Cornerstone is a training provider, not a recruitment

agency. We do not guarantee employment, job interviews or job

placement of any kind.

- Completion or passing of the Programme does not entitle you to work

at any particular venue.

2. Pass / Fail Assessment — Important Disclosure

Passing is not guaranteed. Your fee pays for training and assessment

against a fixed standard — it does not pay for a passing result. Some

participants do not pass.

The Day 2 assessment is conducted against a fixed, pre-defined standard

that is the same for every participant in every cohort. Your result is

binary: pass or fail. There are no partial passes, graded results or

exceptions.

If you pass, you will receive a Certificate of Completion, your graduate

profile will be made available to hiring venues (see clause 9), and you

become eligible for enrolment in higher-level programmes.

If you do not pass, you will receive specific, private feedback

identifying the exact criteria not met. A failed assessment is not a

fault in the Programme and does not entitle you to a refund.

3. Re-Attempts

If you do not pass, you may re-attempt the Programme by enrolling in a

future cohort. Re-attempts require full re-entry into the complete

two-day Programme at the full course fee then current (currently A$299).

Partial re-entry or assessment-only re-attempts are not available. A

minimum of 7 days must pass between your assessment and any re-attempt.

Re-attempts are charged at the full course fee. There is no discounted

resit. Please be certain you understand this before enrolling.

4. Eligibility

To enrol, you must:

- Be at least 18 years of age on the first day of your cohort. We may

request photo identification and may refuse participation, without

refund, where proof of age is not provided on request.

- Have sufficient English to follow safety instructions and

participate in spoken communication drills, which form part of the

assessed standard.

- Be physically able to participate in 16 hours of largely

on-your-feet practical training, including carrying weighted plates,

walking continuously and bending. By enrolling you declare that you

are physically able to safely participate.

You must disclose to us before the cohort begins any injury or condition

that may affect your safe participation. We may, acting reasonably,

defer your enrolment to a later cohort on safety grounds.

5. Enrolment, Fees and Payment

- The course fee is A$299 per person unless a current promotional

price applies, payable in full at the time of booking through our

website.

- Your seat is confirmed only when payment has been received. Seats

are limited per cohort and are allocated in order of payment.

- Each booking is for one named participant and is not transferable to

another person without our written agreement.

6. Cancellations, Refunds and Transfers

If you cancel:

- 7 days or more before Day 1 of your cohort: full refund.

- Less than 7 days before Day 1: no refund, but one free transfer to a

later cohort of your choice, subject to availability. A transferred

booking that is subsequently cancelled or not attended is forfeited.

- Failure to attend without notice (no-show): your fee is forfeited.

If we cancel or reschedule:

- Each cohort requires a minimum of 5 enrolled participants to

proceed. If a cohort does not reach the minimum, or we must cancel

or reschedule for any other reason, you may choose either a full

refund or a free transfer to a later cohort.

Nothing in this clause excludes, restricts or modifies any right or

remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including consumer

guarantees that cannot be excluded.

7. Attendance

The Programme is cumulative: Day 2 builds directly on Day 1 and the

assessment cannot be conducted safely or fairly without full attendance.

You must attend both days in full to be assessed. If you miss Day 1, or

arrive so late that, in the trainer’s reasonable judgement, you cannot

safely catch up, you will be offered one free transfer to a later cohort

in place of continuing. No partial-attendance assessment is available.

8. Safety, Conduct and Withdrawal

Training involves real plates, real cutlery and continuous movement in a

shared space. For everyone’s safety:

- You must wear closed, non-slip footwear on both days. Participants

without suitable footwear cannot train and will be treated as a

no-show for that day.

- You must follow all trainer and assessor instructions immediately.

You will be withdrawn from the Programme immediately and without refund

for any of the following: any unsafe action creating genuine risk of

injury to any person; physical aggression or threatening behaviour;

deliberate sabotage of another participant’s drill or equipment;

consistent refusal to follow direct trainer instruction after two clear

warnings; or attending under the influence of alcohol or other

substances.

9. Filming, Photography and Graduate Database

The following are conditions of enrolment and apply to every

participant:

- Training sessions are photographed and filmed for Hospitality

Cornerstone’s training records and marketing. By enrolling, you

accept that you may appear incidentally in photos and footage of

training (for example, in wide shots of group drills).

- If you pass the assessment, your name, result and graduate profile

will be shared with hospitality venues seeking trained runners. This

sharing is the primary pathway by which venues find our graduates

and is a core part of the Programme.

Separately, at enrolment you will be asked for one optional consent:

- Featured marketing consent — permission for us to feature you

identifiably in our marketing, such as close-up photos or video,

content using your name, or testimonials. If you decline, we will

not build marketing content around you, and your decision does not

affect your training or assessment in any way. You may withdraw this

consent at any time.

All of the above is governed by our Privacy Policy.

10. Certificates

The Certificate of Completion certifies that you completed the assessed

requirements of Runner Entry Level 1 against the Hospitality Cornerstone

standard on the date shown. It is not an accredited qualification, a

licence, or a guarantee of employment, and we make no representation

about how any employer will treat it.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject always to the

Australian Consumer Law, Hospitality Cornerstone excludes liability for

indirect or consequential loss arising from your participation in the

Programme, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for

the Programme. We do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be

excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our

negligence.

You acknowledge that practical hospitality training involves inherent

physical activity and that you participate having declared your fitness

to do so under clause 4.

12. Privacy

We collect and handle your personal information in accordance with our

Privacy Policy, available on our website. By enrolling, you confirm you

have had the opportunity to read it.

13. General

- We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at

the time of your booking applies to that booking.

- These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
