Privacy Policy
HOSPITALITY CORNERSTONE PTY LTD
Hospitality Cornerstone Pty Ltd · ABN 95 698 170 437
Version 1.0 — Effective 10 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Hospitality Cornerstone Pty Ltd (ABN 95
698 170 437) (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and discloses personal
information in connection with our training programmes and website,
hospitalitycornerstone.com.au. We handle personal information
consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act
1988 (Cth).
1. What We Collect
- Identity and contact details — your name, email address, phone
number and, where needed to verify eligibility, your date of birth
or photo identification.
- Booking and payment information — records of your enrolment and
payments. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store
your full card details.
- Health and safety disclosures — any injury or condition you disclose
to us that may affect safe participation. We treat this as sensitive
information and use it only for safety planning.
- Training and assessment records — attendance, assessment results,
assessor notes and any incident reports.
- Photos and video — training sessions are photographed and filmed as
a condition of enrolment, and you may appear incidentally in that
material. We feature you identifiably in marketing (close-ups, your
name, testimonials) only with your separate featured marketing
consent.
2. How We Collect It
We collect information directly from you when you book through our
website, communicate with us by email, phone or social media, or
participate in training. Our website and booking system are hosted on
Squarespace, which may collect standard technical data (such as IP
address and browser type) under its own privacy terms.
3. Why We Use It
- To deliver the training you have booked, including safety planning
and assessment.
- To maintain accurate training and assessment records, which we
retain for a minimum of 12 months.
- To administer payments, refunds and transfers.
- If you pass, to share your name, result and graduate profile with
hospitality venues seeking trained staff — this is a condition of
enrolment and a core part of the Programme.
- With your separate featured marketing consent, to feature you
identifiably in our marketing.
- To contact you about your booking and, where you have agreed, about
future courses.
4. Who We Share It With
We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only to:
- Service providers that operate our systems — currently Stripe
(payments), Squarespace (website and bookings) and Google Workspace
(email and document storage).
- Hospitality venues — only your name, result and graduate profile,
and only if you pass, as set out in our Terms and Conditions of
Enrolment.
- Our professional advisers (such as our accountant or lawyer) and any
authority where disclosure is required by law.
Some service providers may store data outside Australia (for example, in
the United States) under their own compliance frameworks.
5. Storage and Security
We store personal information in access-controlled cloud systems (Google
Workspace, Squarespace and Stripe) protected by passwords and two-factor
authentication where available. Paper assessment records are retained
securely and digitised where practical. We take reasonable steps to
protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and
unauthorised access.
6. Access, Correction and Withdrawal of Consent
You may ask us at any time to access or correct the personal information
we hold about you, or to withdraw your featured marketing consent. Email
info@hospitalitycornerstone.com.au and we will respond within a
reasonable time. Because venue sharing of graduate results is a
condition of the Programme, it cannot be withdrawn retrospectively, but
you may ask us to stop sharing your profile with new venues at any time
after your course.
7. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us
first at info@hospitalitycornerstone.com.au and we will investigate and
respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to
the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
8. Changes and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the current version
will always be published on our website. Questions:
